Many comedy variety shows feature a classic segment—The Telephone Game. In this game, participants wear headphones that supposedly block out sound. The first person reads a sentence, then passes it on to the next person in various ways. As the information is passed along, the final answer often ends up being completely different from the original. The humor comes from the exaggerated body movements of the participants and the gradual distortion of the information. Similar games like "Pictionary" also create the same kind of hilarious results, bringing joy to the audience.
Today, we're introducing Eat Poop You Cat, a game that combines the Telephone Game and Pictionary. Here’s how it works:
The first step is for Player 1 to write a funny or exaggerated sentence. Of course, they could write something more simple, but to increase the difficulty and fun, the more outrageous, the better. Next, Player 2 gets the phone and has to draw the picture that represents the sentence on the screen. Once they finish the drawing, Player 2 passes the phone to Player 3, who then has to turn the image back into a written sentence and pass it on to Player 4.
Thus, the game alternates between sentence-to-drawing-to-sentence-to-drawing. At the end of the game, the original sentence and the final drawing will be revealed for comparison, which is sure to be hilarious. Throughout the game, all actions are done using the same phone. Before starting, players can choose whether or not to enter a nickname. Adding a nickname allows the players to trace each sentence and drawing to its creator. Of course, if players prefer to remain anonymous, they can choose not to use a nickname.
According to the developer, family and friends were instrumental in creating this game. In today's world, when people meet, they often exchange only brief greetings before retreating to their phones. Even when under the same roof, family members tend to remain silent, with only the sounds of TikTok videos breaking the quiet. Instead of letting our phones be barriers to communication, the developer thought, why not turn them into tools that encourage interaction and bring more fun and game time for everyone?
